I’m hosting bunco at my house tomorrow night… looking for delicious, easy recipes… I am thinking the turkey wraps… I must make that recipe on your homepage for the raspberry brownies… yummy!!!
Hi! We met you at the food pairing for 3 Wine Company last weekend and I’m dying for the spinach/puff pastry appetizers you had there? I printed the delicious stew recipe but couldn’t find the other. Thank you! Your food was wonderful. Laurie Cannelora
I tasted your delicious dishes at the CAbi event in Palo Alto and…WOW! Overjoyed to have the recipes. Can’t find the”portable strawberry shortcake” though… Toasted pound cake, chopped strawberries and…? What was the creamy stuff?
Hi Elizabeth, So glad you enjoyed everything at the Corner! The little dessert that you are talking about can be found under Desserts OR appetizers and the name of it is Strawberry Bruschetta. The ingredients might seem a little crazy, but they sure are delicious together. Hope you get to make it soon. Thanks for stopping by! Melissa
Hi Doris,
Yes, you can absolutely make beef wellington bites 2 hours ahead of time. Just be sure that the mushroom mixture is completely cooled. I would recommend placing the bites on a parchment lined baking sheet and just do the egg wash right before baking. Hope you enjoy these delicious little bites, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hi, I was at the 3 winery release party and had the pasta, it was wonderful! Is that recipe on your website? could not find it but would love to make it. Just delicious as was everything there.
Thanks again
Hi! We met you at the 3 Wine Release party on Saturday and I’m trying to find the recipes for the pasta dish and pork dish you had there. I printed the Strawberry Bruschetta and Sweet Cream Dip recipes but couldn’t find the other. Thank you! Your food was wonderful.
Hi Marina. I am so glad that you enjoyed the Asian Peanutty Pasta Salad. Here is the LINK to the salad you enjoyed at Three Wines on Saturday. Hope to see you again at Three and enjoy the recipes!
Hi Melissa! We’re having some friends over tomorrow night and it will be Delicious Dishes Recipes night – I just wish you could be there! I was planning on making the Butternut Squash Lasagna, but also came away with Jalapeno Poppers, Peanutty Asian Noodle and Shrimp Cups, Apple Pie Surprise, and maybe one of the chocolate cakes or brownies. Okay, maybe a bit ambitious, I’ll let you know what I actually end up making. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Jalapeno poppers disappeared off the plate; butternut squash/spinach lasagna was a big hit and a few people took the recipe; apple pie and cream cheese swirl brownies were delicous. Thanks again!
Great to meet you at Kristi’s back in August! I am finally checking out your blog and am so excited to try these recipes!!! I am so grateful to be able to come here and know that whatever I choose will be a good choice;)
Hey cutie!!!
Thanks for connecting me with your blog AND your recipes!!! You don’t need to respond…I know where to find you! Thinking I need to do the butternut squash lasagna after Thanksgiving. I was planning on Lasagna anyway…a different twist! Yum!
Thanks so much Melissa!!
Laurie
Hi
Is it possible to make the yeast dinner rolls “mama rolls” in balls instead of roll in crescents? Thanks for the pics along with the process for making the rolls. I’ve tried for years making rolls and haven’t come across I yet that works for my family. Your recipe looks like a winner. I’m trying it for Thanksgiving.
Hi Joyce. I don’t see why you couldn’t make them in a “ball” style. It is just one of those things that they have always been made crescent style. Old habits die hard. Let me know how they turn out. It isn’t a thanksgiving without these delicious bundles of love!
Dear Melissa:
I found your web site accidentally but now you are my “go to” site for consistently wonderful and well documented recipes. It could be called fabulous food for “dummies”!!!
One of my favorite recipes is the Chinese chicken salad….sooooo yummy!!
And I learned about a new ingredient (Sabol) in the process…I love the pictures. The entire process is documented….great for everyone. I just wanted to let you know how great your web site is and that it makes me actually interested in cooking again….;)
Thanks again!!!!….m
Thank you so much for coming to visit my website. I gotta tell you that I feel like the lonley blogger sometimes. Good to know that someone is out there using my recipes come back and visit again!
Everyone loved your beef stew recipe. I didn’t have beef consumme or tomatoe paste, so I used a large can of chopped whole tomatoes w/juice.
It was great. So good, everyone is asking for your website.
Also I made the vegetable strata last weekend. I used the feta cheese and it gave it a great punch of flavor. I used the strata as a side dish with dinner. It will be my “take to” casserole for parties/brunches/pot lucks!
Thank you, Melissa
DEAR MELISSA
LOVE THE WEBSITE, I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT ONE OF YOUR RECIPES. Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies with Chocolate Ganache
good job. it looks so gourmet!. does the brownies retain their glossy ganache look after you take it out of the fridge.or do they look dull. i want to serve these on a graduation party and I want them too stay shiny. what is the best way to do? and how early can i do it? are there any steps upto which I CAN DO THE DAY BEFORE. APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD HELP ME ON THIS
please reply to my e-mail.thanks
Hi, unfortunately you are right, the brownie does not retain their glossy look after you take them out of the refrigerator. What I would suggest you do is make the brownies a day in advance, allow them to cool. Cut them and put them in individual “cupcake” liners. Cover tightly and refrigerate. Before your guests arrive remove the cut brownies from the refrigerator and glaze with the ganache and leave out ready to serve. They will be the hit of the party! Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions. ~ Melissa
This is one of those things I really do not like about my blog. You can’t print the “full page” without printing all of the photos. Print either the 4×5 or 3×6 card option and you will get just the recipe. Thanks!
Melissa
I was wondering if you were going to post the receipt you did for the previous CAbi corner event it had eggplant and was wonderful, I really dislike eggplant too
Thanks
SAndi Kenney
Hi Sandi, how are you? I can’t remember which CAbi corner event you were at. I don’t like eggplant either and I don’t remember making anything like that. What else did I serve? Was it the stuffed pasta shells? I want to figure this one out for you
I was just wanting to say how much I love your cooking for the CAbi corners. My guests Are always so impressed with your meals. Thank you for sharing your recipes. You are awesome!!

Elizabeth,
I’m a friend of Debbie Lawrence here in El Dorado Hills. She made your delicious puff pastry filled with beef and a mushroom sauce.
Question: Is this something I can make ahead of time (2 hours before baking)?, or do I make them and put in the oven immediately?
Thanks…..love you blog!
